This 1/4-inch, solid-braid, floating, polypropylene rope is our favorite rope for canoe painter lines and sea kayak and canoe tow lines. Adhesive YKK SNAD Snap studs allow you to use snap-attachment accessories without drilling into your boat to rivet a standard snap stud. They attach with 3M VHB adhesive tape that’s already applied to the back of the SNAD snap.  These SNAD snaps are 25mm in diameter and rigid black plastic. They’re best for smooth surfaces with minimal curvature. If you can place a quarter on the boat in the location you want to apply the SNAD and the quarter lays flat on the surface, the 25mm rigid SNADs should work well.

They attach with 3M VHB adhesive tape that’s already applied to the back of the SNAD snap.  These SNAD snaps are 25mm in diameter and have a stainless stud attached to a flexible, clear base. They’re best for contoured or moderately curved surfaces and surfaces with mild texture (like the inside of a composite canoe or kayak).  Note: The base appears red in the photographs because the backing on the 3M VHB tape is red plastic film which is removed during installation. 

Accidents happen; be prepared with this light weight, basic patch kit.  Small holes and cracks are quickly and easily prepped and sealed with the included utility cloth, alcohol wipes, and 4”x4” hydro tape patches, all vacuum sealed into a flat, waterproof kit. To use, simply dry the repair area with the cloth, clean it with the alcohol wipe, peel the backing from the patch and apply it to the repair, and then rub the patch firmly onto the hull.  The hydro tape adheres to wet surfaces and has a 1.5mm thick layer of adhesive to seal and conform to the damaged surface.  The RedLeaf Crew usually has one patch kit in a PFD pocket and another taped under the canoe seat or kayak deck.  Note: The tape may be clear or black, depending on what our supplier has in stock. Both colors perform equally well.

A padded Canoe Coat offers an extra level of protection against bumps and scrapes when your canoe is on the storage rack, especially if your canoe is stored in a club or other public location with other boats. Note that the padding can collect dirt, grit, and moisture, so it does require some extra care. We don’t recommend the padding if your boat is stored outdoors for the winter in a place with prolonged temperatures below freezing and you use your boat during the colder seasons - the padding can freeze to the boat hull and tear if you try to remove it when it's still frozen. My canoe isn't listed in the Manufacturer or Model drop down. What do I do? Don't worry! We make all of our patterns from measurements and don't need your boat in the shop to make a perfect cover. Can I get a Canoe Coat for my kayak, surf ski, or outrigger canoe? We don’t offer Canoe Coats for kayaks, surf skis, or outrigger canoes, but do make the Ultimate Cover for those boats. A replacement drawcord assembly for the Original Bag Lady Canoe Cover. The assembly includes 1/8" braided polyester cord and one cord lock. The draw cord can be cut to length after assembly.  Canoes under 16 feet in length receive 30 feet of cord and canoes 16 to 18-1/2 feet long receive 36 feet of cord. If your canoe is longer than 18-1/2 feet, please contact us to ensure that you receive the right length of cord. 

Replacement HDPE battens for Expedition Spray Decks cockpit tunnels. The battens are made from 1/8" thick HDPE plastic and are 1" wide.    Sold as a set of 2.

The legend of Verlen Kruger is equaled only by the legend of his unmatched expedition canoes.  The Sea Wind is Verlen's exceptional decked solo canoe and we are proud to offer a  Sea Wind spray deck that combines the same, Aqualon Edge fabric that Verlen used with an updated, modernized body tunnel.  We offer the Sea Wind spray deck in blue, charcoal grey, forest green, and red.  If you select the option to include stainless steel snap buttons with your cover, we will attach the buttons to the cover (4 per side) and send a set of 8 stainless snap studs, rivets, and washers that you will need to install on your cockpit coaming.  Note that our spray covers do not come with the arched battens that connect to the Sea Wind cockpit coaming. If you no longer have the battens, we can sew four HDPE battens and tensioning straps into the underside of the deck.  The Modern Spray Tunnel Verlen's original spray tunnel design had two zippers on the front sides of the tunnel, a bungee draw cord around the top, and used the same marine-grade Aqualon Edge fabric as the deck. While it is a time tested design, it can be difficult to get out of in a capsize and the heavy weight fabric can be uncomfortable against the body.  We have updated the spray tunnel by combining the original Sea Wind spray deck  with the anatomic tunnels that we use on our Expedition canoe spray decks. The tunnels are fitted so that they contour over your knees and lap, include short battens to keep the lap section from inverting and collecting water, and roll away for warm days when you want the spray deck body, but don't want a tunnel around your torso. The modern tunnel also has a front seam secured with 2" Velcro that can be released quickly with a reinforced rip-tab, facilitating a quick exit in the event of a capsize.  We find the modern tunnel to be safer, more comfortable, and equally durable and sea worthy compared to the original.

Our padded, durable paddle cases are like Fort Knox for your canoe and kayak paddles. Made from a durable, breathable WeatherMax LT fabric exterior and padded with quilted polyester lining, these cases protect your paddles from more than the casual bumps and drops. Each case will hold two canoe paddles or one two-piece kayak paddle in compartments separated by a quilted and padded divider. Made from durable ripstop polyester and marine mesh, Paddle Pockets attach to the side of your hull with 1” adhesive Velcro and give you a place to park your canoe paddle blade. Combine them with one of our thwart Tether Tabs to secure the paddle shaft and you’ll be able to paddle and portage with securely housed paddles. The standard Paddle Pocket will hold paddles up to 8" wide, while the wide version will accept 9" blades.
